The Perfect Vessel

Description

We spent a great deal of time on the special effects and sound design for this video. The special effects include the body possession as well as the spirit flying across the room interacting with the actor. The sound design, aside from the possession sound effects, also includes the ghostly girlfriend voice-over for the spirit! 

When my girlfriend passed away, I was devastated. She was my soulmate…the love of my life, and I knew I would never find someone like her again. She was beautiful.

I remember her blond highlights brushing up against her face, her big, wide, blue eyes that could look right through you, and her awkward smile. She never thought she was pretty, but she was – everything about her was.

Friends and family told me that time would heal the pain, but it didn’t – I always hated when people were cliche. The more time that went by, the more I lost control, and soon, I found myself going to therapy to try and sort out everything I had bottled up. Sure, the doc put me on a few depression and anxiety medications, but nothing helped. She was gone and there was nothing I could do or take to fix that.

Until one night. I was sitting inside my lonely apartment, tears rolling down my cheeks, when I heard her voice. “Aiden,” she whispered. I looked around, but she was no where in sight – I thought I had truly gone insane. What looked like a purple light shot across the room, and I heard her voice again. Her spirit was there with me.

I was overwhelmed with happiness – the love of my life was still alive in spirit, and we could still be together. It was beyond amazing, but it was different. I wasn’t able to touch her, to hold her…to be intimate. I don’t mean to sound ungrateful by any means, I just wanted her back – all of her.

I’d do anything to touch her again. She wanted it, too, and that’s when she explained it to me. I’d go on a dating site, a chat room, or an app to find someone she could use to possess. I could pick anyone I wanted, as long as I was able to get them somewhere where she could take over their body. Then, and only then, could we be together again.

I spent the next few days trying to find the most beautiful woman I could. And when I saw her, I knew she was the one. Her name was Ludella Hahn. She had gorgeous, fiery, red hair, a flawless body, and a beautiful smile. Everything about her was incredible – even her sweet, shy personality, which almost made me feel bad about what I had to do.

“I don’t usually do this, I don’t want you to judge me,” Ludella said shyly. “I don’t usually go to hotel rooms afterwards – I just wanted to spend more time with you.” I had just finished taking Ludella to a wonderful, fancy dinner, and had asked her to come up to my hotel so we could talk. She was more incredible than I could have ever imagined. We had great conversation at dinner, and now I couldn’t stop thinking about how this beautiful girl was going to be mine.

My girlfriend was waiting. Her spirit flew across the room, and she was growing impatient. “Aiden, hurry up,” her voice echoed softly into the air. I responded to her, which was a huge red flag to Ludella. She couldn’t see or hear my girlfriend’s spirit, so naturally I looked insane. “Is…is everything okay?” Ludella smiled awkwardly.

I tried to play it off, but it was obvious that I was lying. “Oh, sorry…I was spacing out for a second,” I replied attempting to save myself. I tried to continue our lovely conversation, but my girlfriend wouldn’t let up. She became more irritated, and now I looked like a complete nut as I pleaded with her to be patient.

After a few times of going back and forth with this “imaginary” person, I could see the uneasiness in Ludella’s eyes, “I think I should go.” I knew I had to keep her inside my room for at least another minute, or this wasn’t going to work.

The Possession

“Aiden, she’s going to leave. If we’re going to do it, we have to do it now. She’s going to leave, we have to do it now! Come on,” my girlfriend pleaded. She was right – whether I was ready to or not, it had to happen, or I’d lose my dream girl. “Alright, now’s your chance! Come on – get in her!” I said pointing at Ludella.

Her spirit began to possess Ludella’s body, and Ludella gasped, her eyes rolling, as she attempted to fight back. She fell on the bed, twisting and turning, but after a minute, my girlfriend had taken over.

It felt like butterflies had consumed my stomach. I waited impatiently for her to open her eyes, for her to tell me she was okay…for her to tell me that it had worked. And she did. It took her a moment to get adjusted, but then she looked up at me with a huge smile on her face, “Oh hello, my love.”

“Of course it’s really me,” she giggled. “And I must say, you did find a magnificent vessel for me.” My girlfriend took her time exploring her new body, looking at and feeling every inch, and even giggling about how the redhead wasn’t wearing panties to the date.

Her voice was sweet and seductive as she offered to keep trading bodies until I found the perfect girl. “We can make a game of it,” she smiled.
